Whole Self Yoga – a day of integrated practice
We will attend to the whole of ourselves as we move and breathe through this day of yoga. We will take care as we practice, emphasising enjoyment and ease. As the day unwinds this emphasis will allow us to gradually expand our range and choices both in movement and in breathing.
The approach to practice will be anchored in an awareness of our relationship to the ground and to gravity. We will be sensitive to the breath, and to the spread of movement through our spine, and indeed the whole of ourself, in a wide range of poses, including sitting.
The pace of the day will include periods of ‘pause’ to allow time for quiet and rest, so that we can notice and reflect on our experience.
