Joy of Yoga day, Suffolk County Yoga Circle

A Focused, Attentive Yoga Practice:
This day of yoga will emphasise attentiveness in both the yoga postures and the stiller sitting practices; both of these can then become meditative and lead us towards greater body/self awareness.
In the morning we will warm and free the body with a focus on integrated movement where: the spine is gently ‘woken up’, our breath supports easy, fluid mobility and our state of mind is focused yet relaxed.
After lunch we will begin in a supine position and explore movements that ease tension in and around the hip joints. This will lead us towards prone and sitting postures and help us to find an easy upright sitting position.
We will end the day with quiet sitting, breathing and relaxation.
