Yoga Workshop, Oxford: establishing a felt sense of our central axis

To help us experience an easy uprightness we will work towards establishing a felt sense of our central axis or midline. In doing so we will explore upright and inverted postures, including tadasana, headstand and sitting practices.
We will move into twists and sidebends, flexion and extension with the same perspective as, in all these, we are moving in relation to the midline. Throughout, we will notice the effect on our breathing.
We will also ask ourselves how our experiences and culture influence our ideas around posture and uprightness.
